Journey 1 — Starting Therapy

You are welcome here just as much as anyone else.

Therapy that Actually Helps.

01 — Making a Connection, Even Online

In therapy we will spend time talking about your week, laughing over that funny thing that happened, and discussing things that are deeper and more sensitive. We’ll do it in the safety of a relationship we build together, at a pace that works for you. Paperwork and assessment is important, but not as important as building trust. My practice is all online through the convenience of tele-health.

02 — Getting Clear on Your Goals

They say a dream without a plan is just a fantasy, but a dream with a plan is a goal. They’re right! We’ll talk about what you want and work out a solid treatment plan so that you actually make progress towards the changes you want in your life.

03 — Evidence-Based Interventions

You came to therapy for help, and you deserve help that actually works. We’ll practice and learn a mix of interventions, relationship skills, and coping strategies that are based on scientific research. I’m a lifelong learner with education and training in many therapies, and my passion is using that to help my clients. (See more about therapies on the About Me page).

04 — Lasting Change and an Open Door

Therapy will eventually end. How long you stay is up to you and what you need. Some people have a lot to work on, and like to continue developing new goals. Some people need growth and support through a short, difficult period of time. Whatever your needs, we’ll end therapy with good goodbye, a plan to help you maintain your progress, and an open door to return if you ever need it.

If you face your challenge, you’ll notice the change.

Get some relief now.
